Ajinomoto Scholarship is for international students from 6 countries of ASEAN + ONE (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Russia) wishing to enroll in a master’s course (at specified graduate schools in the sciences) at designated universities in Japan. This scholarship has been deployed in Vietnam from 2009. In 2025, Ajinomoto Vietnam Company continues deploying this scholarship for Vietnamese students.

I. Scholarship Benefits

• 150,000 yen per month (Research Student at graduate school)

• 180,000 yen per month (Master’s Course Student at graduate school)

• Examination, admission and tuition fees: covered in full.

• Airfare to Japan: provide a one-way direct flight air ticket from Vietnam to Japan (economy class flight ticket, in principle).

II. Type of scholarship

1. 3-year scholarship: 1 year studying as a Research Student, and 2 years as a Master’s Course Student.

2. 2-year scholarship: 2 years as a Master’s Course Student.
