With the School Meal Project and the Scholarship Program “For Pupils Going to School”, Ajinomoto Vietnam indicates that the Company prioritizes education and nutrition improvement for the future generations of Vietnam. 
Known as a company specializing in the production of AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning from Japan, over the years, Ajinomoto Vietnam has developed and expanded, providing consumers with a wide variety of diverse and high quality products. In addition, the Company focuses on contributing to education and nutrition, with the School Meal Project and the Scholarship Program “For Pupils Going to School”.
After 19 years of implementation, on March 4th, 2023, Ajinomoto Vietnam, together with two Japanese enterprises operating in Dong Nai – Nippon Sanso Vietnam Joint Stock Company and Kureha Vietnam Co., Ltd. – continued to award 400 scholarships to studious and disadvantaged pupils of secondary and high schools with good achievements in the academic year 2022-2023, with a total scholarship value of 440 million VND. In which, Ajinomoto Vietnam contributed 200 scholarships worth 220 million VND and school bags, Nippon Sanso Vietnam Joint Stock Company and Kureha Vietnam Co., Ltd. offered 200 scholarships, equivalent to 220 million VND.
Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Tsutomu Nara - General Director of Ajinomoto Vietnam shared: “Facilitating education and improving nutrition are practical actions for cultivating future generations, thereby contributing to the development of Vietnam. These are also the inspiration and motivation for Ajinomoto Vietnam to implement programs and initiatives for the country's "future owners" such as the Scholarship Program and the School Meal Project.”

During nearly 2 decades, the Scholarship Program “For Pupils Going to School” has become an annual activity with profound humanistic meanings, awarding more than 5,800 scholarships worth over 5.5 billion VND to pupils in the province.
Besides facilitating education, Ajinomoto Vietnam has been collaborating with the Ministry of Education & Training and the National Institute of Nutrition - Ministry of Health to deploy the School Meal Project nationwide. So far, pupils at more than 4,000 elementary schools are enjoying nutrition-balanced menus and are educated on foods’ nutrition values via the Project.

Sharing about Ajinomoto Vietnam's Purpose, ideal and targets toward 2030, Mr. Tsutomu Nara - General Director of Ajinomoto Vietnam said the Company would continue to contribute to the well-being of Vietnamese people and society through providing quality products and valuable initiatives. As for products, the Company would provide Vietnamese people with seasonings, foods and related products which are delicious, easy to cook/use and affordable/reasonable with unique know-how from the Ajinomoto Group, such as Aji-ngon® flavor seasoning with its Meat & Bone Extract to be produced in-house.

Besides the seasonings and food products for delicious meals and family bonding of Vietnamese people, the Company also provides other products for better nutrition and mental health of consumers in this busy modern lifestyle nowadays, including products that provide “relaxation” and “comfortable” mental benefits and overall well-being of consumers, such as Blendy® powder drink product.

“As for initiatives, we will constantly promote initiatives that contribute to realizing well-being including nutrition & health via healthy diets and nutritional & health knowledge, such as Mother and Children Project; School Meal Project; Vietnam Nutrition system Establishment Project (VINEP); together with initiatives that improve environment conditions such as reducing CO2 emissions or plastic waste, etc.” – added Mr. Tsutomu Nara - General Director of Ajinomoto Vietnam.
